What is Privo?
Privo is an independent identity verification company that we partner with to ensure that children and parents’ data is secure and safe.
Why is This Required?
This step required to ensure you are properly informed of the data collection and protection involved with Moxie functionality and its interactions with your child.
This step in the setup process is to verify you are the parent or guardian of the child who will be using Moxie. Once verified through Privo, the Moxie Robot App will provide a brief overview of the Privacy Policy and request that you grant consent for your child to use Moxie. Please note that you will not be able to proceed with setup or pairing Moxie if you choose to not grant consent.
How Do I Complete This Part of the Moxie Robot App Account Setup?
You will need to select one of the verification options listed: Partial SSN, Credit Card, Driver's License, or PayPal.
- Partial SSN: Use the last four digits of your US social security number to confirm your identity. NOTE: Additional information will be required such as your last name and address. If this information has changed in the last two years then you may need to provide your previous information.
- Credit Card: Complete a reversible $1 payment to validate your identity. Once processed, your payment will be refunded. Most credit cards accepted
- Driver's License: Use your current US driver's license to confirm your name and age.
- PayPal Account: Verify your identity by logging into your PayPal account. Your financial information will not be accessed or shared.
- Phone Call: Call PRIVO support to talk to a customer support representative or leave a message
- Stripe: Complete a $0.75 payment to validate you are and adult. This is a nonrefundable charge. Most credit or bank cards are accepted.
- Government Issued ID: Validate you are an adult by presenting your government issued ID.
What if I Keep Getting an Error When Trying to Verify?
Please reach out to Privo support via email at support@privo.com to request their assistance. Please be sure to include your name, email address, and that you are trying to verify on the Moxie Robot App.
PLEASE NOTE: During the holiday period, Privo support will be closed on Christmas day. Setting up the parent app account, and completing Privo Identity Verification before the holidays will ensure Embodied and Privo will be available to support you, should any issues arise.
