If you suspect a problem with Moxie's power adapter or battery, here are some tips that may help!
Troubleshooting the Power Adapter
A broken or damaged power adapter could be the reason Moxie is not charging. Here are some ideas that might help:
- Verify LED Light: Make sure the power adapter has a green LED light when plugged into an outlet. If you don't see a light, ensure all cables are plugged in securely and try plugging the adapter into a different power outlet.
- Secure Connections: Disconnect and reconnect the power adapter's two cables to ensure they are securely connected. Ensure the connector that plugs into Moxie isn't bent or damaged.
- Test a Different Outlet: Plug Moxie into a different power outlet.
- Use the Correct Adapter: Ensure you are using the power adapter that came with Moxie.
Do not use any 3rd-party power adapters since this can damage Moxie's internal charging components permanently.
Troubleshooting Moxie’s Battery
If Moxie is not working when running on battery power, turn Moxie off using the switch at its base and leave it plugged in to charge for 24 hours. When plugged in and turned off, you should see a yellow light on Moxie’s chest LED bar. After 24 hours, try turning Moxie on again to see if it works properly.
