Where is Moxie manufactured?

Moxie's design and our proprietary platform (SocialX) that operates Moxie has been developed by our team in the U.S. (none of this is done in China). However, to be upfront, Moxie's hardware is being produced by a contract manufacturer in China, and parts are manufactured from different countries.

That being said, all of our software is produced in the U.S. and is not loaded onto the Moxie robots until they are in the U.S. and in the hands of the customer. This production process has been chosen because it allows us to make Moxie as affordable as possible to as many families as we feasibly can. We want to assure you that protecting your privacy and the security of the data entrusted to us is at the heart of how we develop our products, services, and platform.

Embodied has taken careful steps to ensure the information provided by children and families is handled with high standards of privacy and security. Moxie and its full ecosystem are COPPA (Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act) Safe Harbor certified by Privo so parents can feel safe knowing that Moxie employs leading data integrity and security procedures and that its systems are regularly audited to ensure full compliance.
