These are various face icons that are separate from interaction and module icons that appear on Moxie’s face that you will see when setting up Moxie. Please see the icons below for what they mean and how to move past them in the event of an issue.
This icon (a glowing Embodied logo) means that Moxie is in the process of powering on. If Moxie stays in this state for longer than five minutes, please use the power switch to turn Moxie off ("O" position), leave off for 20 seconds, then turn Moxie back on ("I" position). If the issue persists, please submit a support form for our team to assist you: Support Form
This icon will display when Moxie is ready to pair to the Moxie Robot App account and your local Wi-Fi network. Please open the Moxie tab and select either "pair Moxie" (upper right corner) or "edit Wi-Fi" to display the QR code in the parent app. Once the parent app is displaying the QR code, turn the phone screen to Moxie's camera (as the app prompts you to) for Moxie to scan the code. If you are experiencing any issues, please refer to this support article: Moxie Stuck on QR Face Icon
Moxie has successfully scanned the QR code and is about to connect to Wi-Fi and/or pair with the parent app account.
Wi-Fi Error Code "#"
Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password are case sensitive, so please be sure to double-check you have entered the information accurately to ensure a successful connection. If you do not enter the information correctly, Moxie's face screen will display an "X" with a numeric code as pictured here. Be sure to remove any accidental leading or trailing spaces. Please see the codes below for what they indicate.
- 0 means the network name input was perfect, but the password is incorrect
- 1 means the network name was input incorrectly
- If any other number appears, please submit a support form here: Support Form
Cloud Connecting State
This icon indicates that Moxie is connecting to Embodied cloud servers. If this icon remains for longer than 5 minutes please try to reboot (power off and back on) your home WiFi router, then reboot Moxie. Please be sure to leave Moxie powered off for roughly 20 seconds before turning Moxie back on. If the issue persists, please submit a support form here: Support Form
Moxie is currently pairing to the parent app account. If you are restoring your parent app account to a new Moxie, this icon will also display to indicate Moxie is restoring all of the progress completed with Moxie so far.
This icon will display when Moxie is unpairing from the parent app account. Please be sure to leave Moxie powered on until the QR Scanner icon displays to ensure Moxie fully unpairs. Once the QR Scanner icon is displayed, Moxie is fully unpaired and you can power Moxie off.
